2011’s Student Classics season was a series of screenings of some of the essential leftfield movies that no deeper journey into the outer limits of cinema can really begin without.

Kicking off with Sam Raimi’s seminal horror comedy Evil Dead II, the Monday night audiences were also treated to rare big screen outings for Bruce Robinson’s Withnail & I, Quentin Tarantino ‘s Pulp Fiction, Terry Gilliam’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and the Coen Brothers’ Fargo and The Big Lebowski.
