UP! began with a new commission from artist Morwenna Catt.
This significant site specific art work on the theme of upcycling, making the old and unwanted new and loved again, was showcased in situ at ‘A Vintage Guild’, the initial Guild 2012 weekend event co-curated by locally born and internationally renowned designers Wayne Hemingway MBE and Gerardine Hemingway MBE.
Launched as part of the 2012 Guild, the project engaged local artists and the creative community through CPD workshops, showcasing recycling and environmental creative practice as key to cultural and social aims and the strategic thinking of the city.
